High-performance compounds

FKM rubber compounds

Fluoroelastomers with resistance to a broad range of chemicals combined with very good high-temperature properties — engineered for the applications where standard rubber falls short.

–55 °C to +250 °C

FKM was developed by DuPont in 1957 for aerospace sealing applications, and has been refined ever since. Its chemical resistance comes from the bulk of the fluorine atoms shielding the polymer backbone, combined with the high bonding energy of carbon-fluorine bonds.

We supply a range of FKM-based compounds suitable for prolonged use up to 200°C, meeting automotive specifications that often require lifetimes beyond 5,000 hours — tailored to your specific application, colour and shape.

Used across automotive, oil & gas (NORSOK, NACE) and food & pharma (FDA, USP Class VI) applications.
